So thinking do I brick / clad the bottom of chimney or render it when I do the dome.

I used lime render, hopefully won't crack as bad as cement render. Just top coat to slop on, maybe in the morning

Put top coat on Saturday morning, using stronger 5 nhl lime. It's finished now.

Cheers tony. Just got to finish patio and stone wall. Been a bit of a labour of love but done now and should be there for a good few years.

Looking great top tip get some welding gloves cover forearms few Henry WESTONs you get burnt find a good old cast iron pan skillet for steaks there superb no fat it just flames up happy cooking try a slow cooked shoulder of pork overnight ❤️❤️❤️💤
