to be honest Mikey yeah it was, I went in the first place to look at probst and stihl displays but the rest was good too, not that i am aiming on doing any of the concrete pattern imprint or spray stuff it was interesting to watch the demonstrations
i met a few guys from Marshalls too so that was good but the best thing was I must of been less than 2 feet away from cookie and did not even see him, and if you have met cookie you will know what i mean when i say you cant miss him
2 feet off him and i did not see him, i think i need to go to specsave

Sorry to have missed you Mick, I ended up going Thursday and because I got caught in the traffic on them'way after the accident on the M6 I had less time at the event than I would have liked.
Still, really enjoyed it though, loved that German machine that tranpsorts, picks up and places the slabs and kerbs and found out a lot about the stone laying, seriously thinking about putting more of that side in me portfollio and less of the Tegulas, got some very good prices on stone from CED and now understand the mortars after talking to David of Steintec and Gary of NCC.
Did you see that Wacker plate on the Kubota digger? fanbloodytastic, with this sort of kit available I can carry on laying til I'm 90!
All in all, well worthwhile, me man tells me that they already have stands rebooked into the tens of thousands of £ for 2011 and most double the size of this year so we've seen the birth of the new industry event that was talked about despite some peoples efforts to put a spoke in the wheel!

I don't think anyone put a spoke in the wheel John and its time to move forward now anyway, I am glad it was a success for yer man and I look forward to next years event being twice the size
I have seen the lifting devices before as the hire company I use is a probst official distributer and they take all the grunt out of laying a 3 x 2 flag and like you say you could be working into your 90's with tools like this at hand
tell yer man can we have a more varied menu and refreshments next year as it was a bit limited just being normal coffee, I am partial to a nice cappuccino
