Have a mate out there driving machines, he reckons theres plenty of work putting in irrigation systems, Drainage, pipelines things like that, he freelances, travelling from one farm to the next, sounds like he has an amazing time to boot:D

Lucky sod!

I used to think al the people who left the UK over the last 3 years would live to regret it.

I'm glad I wasn't holding my breath.

Ive got a bro in the Copsta Del Sol. Hes been there 25 years. Made a business from buying and selling furniture.

Generally, Mr + Mrs Smith would flog their home, invest in a bar and go tits in the space of 12-18 months. He would then sell the recovered furniture to the next Mr + Mrs Smith :p
I always had a smug sense of satiation that I lived in good old reliable Blighty.
Not no more though.

Place is going more to the dogs every year. I think, as with the banks, we are further down the s***tube than the Government would like us to know or think.
Best of luck to ya cobba!

spent time in oz, to be honest prefered nz. to be honest do it, wish i did, at the time they were kissing your hand looking for skilled tradesmem when i was there in 03. oz is the only place i`ve ever been where you buy a carryout and the the man says: heres your roadie, a beer for the drive home

Aye it all sounds good, ive not heard anyone say a bad thing about the place, Another massive difference is what they do for fun over there, here people my age just live for the beer but my mate over there goes quadbiking in the mountains or scuba diving and these are just a normal way of spending a weekend, rather than spending it hungover here - food for thought i think.

Me and the missus did the points thing about 2 years ago. We passes just on her qualifications alone. We were going to live in Perth
Then we though we'd invest in a bigger home, cause the kids had just gone to big school, just before it went tits up :(
We made enough on the old place, as we sold in a rising market,so it didnt work out too bad.

Cest la vie.
