I took 20 mm off the top of that mix wherever I wasn't laying. So I'll put 20mm of mix on top of what's there then lay on that for the cut slabs.

It's running down the garden towards the shed. It doesn't look like it in the photos. And to be honest it doesn't look much like it in real life. However I've checked and rechecked everything with a 3 metre straight steel pole and a spirit level and it's set up right for the run off. Behind the shed there's loads of sand for it to drain into. I haven't put that there, it was there when we got the house. I assume that Barrats had loads left and just dumped it before putting some turf over it.

I've just seen the price of romex and gtfk. Ooof.

The entire patio cost around £900. It looks like it's £350 for the romex jointing gear. Am I being tight or does that seem like a large cost compared to the rest of the patio?

Why not buy a cheap pointing gun from screw-fix and mix a 3-1 mix not forgetting to add plastiser and point that way?.

We went away for Cosmo's stag do Tony. Brilliant place. We went to Space & Pacha. There was nine of us there all at the age of 30-33. I thought we were pretty cool, not the case at all. We were like relics from a bygone era. Turns out that if you aint got a waxed chest, not covered in crap tatoos and dont walk around with your boxer shorts sticking out of your trousers you dont get a look in.

Well that's it done apart from the wife sorting out plants and gravel and stuff. Looking pretty good if I do say so myself. I even managed to make a really neat looking ramp for getting the bike into the garden now the garden is higher at one end.
