Everything & all to you all - my dad will be 87 on the 27th dec - he popped in tonight, with the classical pianist Katherine (43), new girlfriend, with a case of serious "St Emilion Grand Cru", and a paperback, entitled "23 Things They Don't Tell You about Capitalism".
I opened the book at random - Thing 5.

As some of you know already, 2011 hasn't been a particularly good year for me, so I'm quite glad to be in the last week of it.
I'm working on the principle that 2012 can't possibly be anywhere near as cruel and disturbing as this past 12 months have been, so nothing to do but look forward with an air of giddy anticipation.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who has worked to keep the Brew Cabin ticking over while my attention has, necessarily, been elsewhere. Without the work that many of you put in, this place simply wouldn't function and I want you to know that I genuinely and deeply appreciate everything you have done. With a bit of luck, I'll be more of a presence over the coming months.
So, have a great break, and a great 2012. Enjoy yourselves, enjoy your families and enjoy your health. Remember, you never miss your water till the well runs dry.
