the paving is Marshalls Drivesys riven stone
the raised planters are concrete blocks and common brickwork cut to shape and rendered using Parex monocouche coloured render

You say a coloured render, does that make it easier to paint onto?

makes no difference its put onto the wall at 25mm and scratched back to 20mm thick
... when the render get dirty just paint over it

Whats the benefit over normal mix? Does it mix like easipoint, or like plaster with a drill paddle?

drill and paddle ... 6.4lts of water to a bag
the benefit is you scratch it the following day and you don't see and shadows like you do with conventional sand and cement render when the sun is shining down the face of the wall
