No problem Simon, that cleaning mix/solution does the trick nearly every time doesn't it? :;): the wood looks like it came up well too. Nice tidy job there mate

Oh yes. Looking at it before we started cleaning I thought it would take a couple or days to get it as clean as we got it because the lichen was really heavy and the decking was awful. The garden smelled like a pond too.
Took half a day cleaning so happy days.
Nice one Mate.

Fair play looks like a new installation and I would have believed it if it wasn't for the before images.
Did you just use Rogers Jollop or other chems also?
I've done a couple of driveways myself this year and if I could get enough of them I'd pack in installing altogether.

Just Rogers jollop Mark.
I've done a couple or sand stone clean ups this year and have thought I could do this full time if I could get enough of them.
Raking out and re pointing was a pain. Nearly the whole or the upper elevation needed doing but the lower part wasn't so bad but to make all the pointing the same we decided to re do the lot.
We went through 5 9" blades and it took a full day. It also took 12 tubs or weatherpoint over 60m2.
That hurt. The client covered it for us though thankfully.

There are mortar rake discs for 4.5 inch grinders which are 8-10mm wide, they're about £30-£40 and would just about do that area.
Weatherpoint is great, especially in this weather. Painfully expensive though if you're out by a tub or two.

I'll have to keep an eye out for them Mark. I don't think they would have been deep enough for this job though.
Although the flags were laid oñ a full bed the joints were around 50 to 60mm deep.
With all the flags being 3x2's and 20mm thick I had 6 or 7 tubs to do it so 12 put me right out.
With the client being so happy with the work carried out front and back he insisted on giving me the amount of money the job should have been.
It's always nice to have happy clients.

anyway I was not keen but found I liked rowing and did ok at it
so fast forward to saturday gone me and the daughter entered the british rowing indoor chamionship in london
I rowed in the race where matthew pinsent's 11 year old british record was smashed (mens 2000m open)
but the daughter won silver in her race the year 8 girls 500m
I am never going to be a clean living Olympian 42nd out of 45!
