I got a wacker in the end. It's a bit old but it's a very heavy dyna pack with the honda engine.

we hire them a lot and at 87kg it wacks the type 1 down hard

as a side note we had 12 tonne this week and i noticed a lot of larger chunks in the type 1 ,some were like 50mm rocks???

cheers LLL

I know the one you mean but this is an older one Tony. No water and it's got the steel T-bar handle. It is beast though.

I used to hire these years back, beast of a machine, does a superb job. Found the forward motion a bit fast though especially when going into delicate areas.

Does it have the large transport wheels that swing down?

That's the one mr Curd. I've been calling it "the beast" as it's the most powerful petrol wacker I've used.

It is a bit hard to use in tight places but not as bad as the big diesel wackers I used to have to use on 80's.
I ended up paying £300 for it which I don't think is a bad price for a decent machine even if it is a bit old.

Tony, I've been getting the same problem with the big stone on tipped loads over 10 tons. I think they palm it off on us because were getting it on a cheaper bulk rate.
