Yes. They are paying off the finance, and giving me the balance. Looks like i lost the excess, and thats it, but saved £900 on the interest payments by paying early!
Trying to order a new machine, just waiting for build time. Other machine is flat out trying to cope!

Really hope it works out ok for you money wise. Its real tempting i'm sure to hunt him down and snatch the life out of him but scum like this don't play fair and its not worth getting knifed over.

Good luck

very true. I have people willing to go in and snatch the goods for me. i do not have to be involved. With the insurance paying up, its best to play a waiting game now. they will get their comeuppance!

insurance are going to pay. Finance cleared and a nice cheque for me to buy another.
just waiting for the thieves to attempt to sell it now and decide then what to do next.
Blimey that was a quick settlement!

I always thought any payout was delayed for a short while in case it is recovered?

Anyway, great news Dan

GREAT NEWS!
I got a phone call today from a guy who owns an industrial unit, to ask if i knew my crusher was parked up with the trailer round the back of one of his units.
He read the serial number off to me, so it hadn't been ground off. It was dumped there two weeks ago, and he thought one of the other tenants had hired it, but once he enquired with everyone, it was clear it was not hired.
I raced up there with a colleague, and to my amazement, it was just as i left it tied down on the trailer, full of fuel, same hours on the clock. They had stolen the key, and ripped off the sign from the back, but thrown it into the trailer.
I had to drill the lock on the trailer hitch as they had the only key.
I had just ordered a new trailer, but since i was going to replace it anyway, i will sell the old one on ebay.
WHAT A RESULT!! just need to cancel the insurance payout

either waiting for a trakker result or hoping i would cough up the ransom. They might have also realised how difficult it is to sell it and decided to dump it.
Just spent an hour drilling out the remains of the trailer lock and broke most of my drills, but knowing i won and they lost, its worth it!
