the policy they have is the hirer pays for any damage but he told me a lot of saws etc are delivered to the hirer in the box and sold one year later (bb,bam, carrion, tarmac, railways etc) big boy only permanent hires, brand new kit every year and then sold for a profit at auction. did say that there is some really good kit for cheap but be careful as some kit has done the night/day and backshift proud.
God loves a tryer

i love my ts400 better than our ts410, i am very protective over it haha stay in the back on my truck and dont let anyone else use it. always starts second pull with choke on no matter what the weather. we have a mix of partner, makita and husquanva and for the lads to use. brickies have so far killed 2 makitas this year putting petrol in not mix, had one partner stolen. that why i protect my stihl haha
we have the mini belle its great you can pick it up one handed great for those small jobs next to stuff you dont want to hit haha, use the bigger plates or if we can we have a mini bomag roller 500mm wide folds up for transport, then it single drum pedestrian or twin drum terex 800mm wide ride. we've hired plates that fit on the 16 ton machine as well fierce those bad boys can feel them 100 yards away.
this is similar to our biggest to big for you

i can be bent over all day cutting GB
i have used both saws and the anti vibration does help plus the saw does not start to spin round in a circle when you put it down where as the ts400 does
I bought mine from buildbase, I got a special deal because they said i'm special
I know what your saying Luton as years ago I paid £728 for a ts350 from a local stihl centre in Bolton

aha so the antivibration stops the spinning!
I have been on scaffold and nearly lost a stihl as it inched its way ever closer to the ladder access
both our ts 400s run great just have to get the pull cords replaced roughly once every 4 month
and a service when they go in for the cords
i always use the little 50ml makita 2 stroke oil canisters it works perfect with 5 litres of petrol
I have been on sites where guys were eyeballing 2 stroke into mix
not good for the plant

if you left the ts410 running for an hour I bet it would not move more than 5 mil from where you left it, the ts400 would of been round in a circle 4 times
I buy the litre bottle of 2 stroke what you squeeze to get the correct amount
stihl 2 stroke oil
I go through pull cords every 3 - 4 month or faster if the saw get wet, which it does more and more these days
