Narrow access tracked cherry picker, and 6" fast tow wood chipper.
Round here, both are like hens teeth.
Was considering the cherry picker option myself ???
1 of my customers has just bought his 2nd cherry picker, him and his son are both out full time in them now.
Few things to consider with them - You can run them on red diesel as long as you don't take any goods on them ie: if you try take a single bag of cement to a site you will be shafted by HMRC.
They are difficult to find, companies don't like selling them 2nd hand to potential competition. He had to look in Ireland and Europe to buy his 2nd motor.
Health and safety are a nuisance as always, they were telling him he has to have a giant bouncy castle around his cherry picker.

carberry, are they the ones mounted on the back of a cabstar?
I am talking about the self drive narrow access machines. They run on red diesel, or elec or even a honda petrol
I know you have to have a loler inspection every 6 months, but no one can tell me how much it costs
there is a company round here that hire out the cabstar ones, and have a tracked one for hire. they are so hard to deal with, and want silly money for a weekend hire. I wanted one for a saturday only, they would not do it. even when i wanted to hire it two miles from their depot, and i was collecting, it was still cheaper to get it from someone else 30 miles away, delivered!

Yeah, extend 100ft up and 100ft out, 20T lorry.
He is doing really well just now, hires out for 4 hour minimum charge. Makes sense using one of them on a lot of jobs rather than mucking about with scaffolding.
