I had an old komatsu and one cold day it just wouldn't start, someone suggested easy start (I'd never herd of it) machine fired up with the slightest sniff......next time took a little more....then more .......then half a can.
My trusty 360 turned into a junky:laugh:
Now if one of my machines is taking abit of getting goin one of the lads always says "give it a shot of dope" then I usually shout and swear

DON'T USE EASYSTART UNLESS YOUR IN THE SHIT
:D

Just asked me old man about this, he says its because it damages the engine slightly, (piston rings, seals etc) when it over-detonates so next time because of the damage you need more spray and so on, until the engine is shagged. Brake cleaner is better apparently

When using expanding foam, just spray water onto the foam to keep it contained and not spill over .

Best way always used to be diesel on a rag, light it, take off air filter, hold flaming rag and crank engine...hot diesely air helps, as does warming the diesel tank with burning cement bags...tip from my pal Gerald who used to drive drotts, sideboom pipelayers, graders, scrapers you name it :)

todays top tip...if you get rained on three times in one day, take the hint and GO HOME!!

CALCULATE whether the new budget is good for you by looking at your watch. If it's worth more than £5k, you're ok:p
