joking aside they are turning into monsters,my daughter the same weight i did when i left school and she is 9, not fat ,just a giant for her age
broadly speaking we were probably a little undernourished
cornflakes,sweeties and egg,beans, and chips was a common day for me as a kid
enjoyed it mind

You were lucky, we lived in a paper bag and i had to get up half an hour before i went to bed to make sure i did me shift in the pit before i went to school......................... :)

lol you pervs I was in the pool with my kids while we were on holiday!!!!!!! :p

we lived in a hole in the ground
anyone remember breakfast slices? some kind of reconstituted bacon,spam fritters ,
seriously we ate real meat once a week on a sunday ,rest of the time it was all sorts of stuff like the above
nothing wrong with it,just people weren't as educated about nutrition in the 70-80s :)
i remember my mum making her first spag bog,she used a teaspoon of ragu sauce and declared that the dish tasted like fried mince and onion,which effectively it was
all this was luxury to my parents who ate mainly bread and dripping as kids
