Sorry to hear about your dog. I've got a cocker spaniel who is my best sales rep and a grumpy old fart of a boxer who has arthritis.

Today's moling job 110mm mole ,BT 100mm duct under driveway 250m to trench week after nxt.

Hit a 3 phase 10 years ago, burned end off mole to frazzle mole dead,village of power 12 hours.....not funny MSH :(

We hit a 12" cast iron rusted to nothing watermain, you've never seen a 2m deep trench fill so quick, literally in 2 seconds it was full

how does the moling work ?
dig a hole at each end set the mole off. when it reaches the other side how do you put the duct in? just push it up the hole or is there more to it

The mole works with the head going forward about 10mm then it pulls the body along on next stroke,so on and so on till you get to other side moving approx 12-15m a hour give or take ground conditions,once it gets to the other side lift mole out that on weighs approx 75kg 6ft long 110mm dia. push duct in.On smaller dia.pipe i tow it in behind mole.I have 45,55,75,110mm dia moles,

the nxt pix show a 65mm dia.water main being towed in behind the 75mm mole, i was going through the sea bank at wells-next-the-sea norfolk,at foot path leval on the other side coming out half down bank on inland side
