would the slab lifter be better hanging off the digger, would it give you more control. i did a job laying the big flags like that 65 think i layed, did think a slab lifter would make life easyer. how do they work what power do they need.

210 to lay alltogether. Did about 100 yesterday, 50 day before

I tried it on the digger. Its slower to track to where we need them, and no where near as much reach. I can get 3m with the avant. Plus, to move side to side, you just steer either side as its articulated, the front moves a lot. I did use it on the micro where I couldn't get the avant. Its powered by a battery running a compressor. Its done two days, and the battery is still at full charge. Great kit

That avant was a great buy I've got a saved search on eBay but only newish £12k ones last few months.

What chipper is that dan?

Wouldnt be without the avant. I keep thinking about a new one :)

chipper is an eliet super pro 2000. got the no stress and will take up to 120mm (although i never chip this size as thats logs!)
850 wide, propelled machine, with removable conveyor. You can also put another screen on that "bulk reduces" waste, ideal for hedge cuttings and stuff thats going for recycling.

we have the avant man coming monday dan 170 M of 6 inch blocks being delivered for the next job
he can fork them all round for us

sy theres a lot of tegula kerbs there looks fab
