the little 2 tonne swivel took about .3m3 a load
9metres only took around an hour
pisses me off when the pump boys discharge half a metre on the road
plus had the dumper there anyway ,makes a change from barrowing

I notice stable hire there tony. I once hired a three tonne machine and dumper form them. Door catch broke on the digger and I was stuck in the cab, and the dumper broke down. When the guy came out to fix, he says they always give the crap machines to first time hirers to see if they are people who look after the machines or abuse them. Never hired from them since

our digger bloke hires from them all the the time ,so I left that to him
as it goes a hose went while we did the 9M3 pour and they were out in 30 minutes and fixed in an hour
and put some granules down where the oil was
I know what you mean about blocking the side of the house but there is a valid reason for this in this instance

Tidy work there Tony.
I wish I had the same luck that you've had. I've gone down below the brick work on the house on the patio were on at the minute and we found out that the house has no footings. It's just built on red clay.
I've come out 200mm from the wall and put a row of 300x900 slabs on edge that I'm going to infill with concrete tomorrow.
There will be between 100 and 150mm showing above the finished level.
It'll be stronger than it was before but I'm not sure if it will hold.
I also uncoverd a live inspection chamber that had been crazy paved straight over.
I love old buildings but I hate working on them.

Yes, phone is red hot, I'm taking 2 or 3 decent enquiries a day, it's taking some doing keeping up with them.
