No, insurance have refused to cover it

Original slip caused by building the swimming pool extension and top loafing the slope with the arisings.

It always worries me when clients will pay good money for a lovely blacktop driverway, but can't find a few quid extra for a kerb or retainer of some form to prevent the edges fraying. Even a timber edging is better than nowt!

I agree......but nope, wouldn't have it, just wanted a decent overlay to smarten it up!

Well, leave 'em to it. It just means you'll be back there so much sooner to do yet another overlay. Lovely jubbly! :D

To be honest, the driveway is much wider than any of the traffic that uses it - so edge deterioration isn't too much of an issue - aslong as people don't drive off the edges!

I'm finding that some people don't generally like kerbs - and an increasing number also don't like the blackness of blacktop surfacing - they say it makes it look like a Tesco car park.

thats the last bit done thanks to thames water and their incredibly slow way of doing things

TBH we will think twice before taking on any more job with pedestrian access only and no parking within 150m

keeps you fit i suppose :;):
