Why do you not lap the visqueen over the brickwork, I would be worried the bco might think I've forgot to put it in and want to see it.

Hi tone nice job for a few weeks. About an hour and a quarter door to door, that is the garage floor waiting on facing bricks to finish retaining wall and re-instate paving on driveway.

the shuttering in the first few pics looks like it does bugger all. was it necessary? how deep was the footing?

Wasn't sure what the ground was like in this particular area so we brought the sheets. Turned out the ground was holding up really well even in the poxy weather we had not a bit of clay in sight just put them in as we had them didn't need them though really.
Once bitten twice shy though spent many a morning hand digging out a corner that has caved in while the ready mix is waiting.

I am glad to see weinberger have reverted to 5 holes in the engineering bricks
it was such a pain last year when they only had 4,had to cut batts with the saw
not criticising but doesnt the garage floor have to have a fall on it,in case of fuel spillage?
cheers LLL

I am pretty shure the is nothing in building regs about garage floor slope , as long as if access to living area garage floor hight has be 100mm lower to form a vapour trap MSH
