Thanks for the comments everyone :). Not pointed yet, using easipoint when we get a dry spell !!

Laid on 100mm mersey grit / opc, 4/1 semi dry mix, but did slurry with white cement/sbr.

No staining or picture framing to be seen.

Cheers

why does it need the concrete edges set in?

it was my decision as the fire department wanted a 1500 square level platform outside the fire door
by putting the edgings in we eliminated the risk of the platform getting rolled out
all falls are to 1:12 which was the mandatory legal requirement
doctors surgery are over the moon with it
the alternative was a 1500 ramp with hand rails which would have caused grief for cars turning

Did you do the black waterproofing to the brickwork as a damp proof barrier tony?

Nice job Tone, I'd do the same with the edgers, takes the risk element away from it levels-wise.

hi mike
building control asked for 3 coast of blackjack up to dpc so we complied
mick its hard to see on the pic but the water pools just there, obviously with a ramp there it would make it worse so we agreed on 1 channel

I told the doctors to keep off it till monday dave,do you reckon thats long enough?

A dab of cold-pour or overbanding where the new meets the existing is the only thing I'd do differently.
