about 40=50mm recess and windows are about 60mm thick aluminum, talking to the guys ftting them they showed me a profile cross section and its thermally insulated inside as well. so no cold bridge.
i see you are still using the old "yellow jelly" scaffold giles 
we used to have tonnes of that , but when my dad's partner sold the yard it all went into the ether
the way its looking now they will want new builds to have 100mm reveals
I dont mind either way ,but it would be nice to have a level playing field to work on

its not ours it the scaffold companies we weighed all our old stuff in last year when scrap was high, but we prefer it to clip and pole,
this week i have moved the lift down to the plinth course for the renderers, then the aluminium soffit and gutters guys finally turned up so had to lift it back up another level so they could fit all the enclosed aluminum soffits, and now followig them round dropping it back down as the renderers started today, messy bunch those lads.
re bco on the third floor master sweet we are having a wall of that glass that goes opaque with an electric current but it isn't fire rated yet so studding it out normally and once signed off will be ripping it out for the £700 a sq metre posh glass stuff and hopefully the supplier will have come up with a fire certificate by then.

fire certificate is hard to come by for new products, 30min easy depending on heat transfer. 1hr not to bad, 2-4 hour your product is put through the mill. £20,000 for the 4hr test with the certificate. ???

GB/LLL, in scotland 90% of site scaffolds are "kwik form" type. its only on the fancy stuff that you get tube&fix. in england believe its the other way around. we lead the way again, pity we dont play cricket as the ashes might end up in the uk :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
