the biggest problem is that a lot of their home countries have very little work so there is not a strong work ethic,although a lot have picked it up since they arrived
when i was a kid it was work, work, work, every night at the dinner table and every one i knew had a dad that worked.
But we do have some who are a lot more professioanl than most blokes I encountered on a typical English site.
My top man and my welder* (although most firms don't have a welder, do you?) would be fought over in England and would work there on minimum wage if they could get visas!
* We have to build everything such as manhole covers, drain covers etc so need a welder...
