I'm not into it at all. It's just work! I see it as an essential act of self discipline.
80 x 7 is my current bench max. Did it yesterday. 4-6 second reps no bouncing the bar though

Yeah they look fools! I'm all for functional fitness and chest and arms with no legs or back isn't functional.
I only train 3 maybe 4 times a week EOD so I full squat or deadlift at the beginning of every session. My back grows quick but my legs need constant punishment. Still I'm squatting ass 2 grass reps at 85 which isn't terrible but not great considering I can bench that despite only benching x1 weekly. God knows...
You sound generally bulkier than me. If I ever breach 190 with my frame size and body fat I'll just tune to increase strength and endurance without the bulk. I'm more interested in keeping power/ weight ratio for my frame.
Wish I could get the buzz back that I used to get.. My mate says I'm a pussy and I'm not systematic enough to get the buzz back but he sits at a desk all day and prob shoots a gram of test a week. He's also about 280lb at 6 ft 2 so I say,,, yeah I'm a pussy lol. :p

Not being going much barely once a month need to get back into it next year. Tried the deadlift 100kg for 100 reps a few months back that sucked managed it raw (no wraps or belt) if had been still training regular would have hopefully done it a lot quicker. Best deadlift was a long time ago but managed 220kg for 2 reps.

100kg x 100 lol that's insane volume. You must be massive!
Yeah I do them raw. Don't need wraps got good grip strength but I'm getting a belt ASAP. Just started them again only 3 weeks ago and I need to totally re learn how to do them cos I did hurt my back a few weeks ago. I've got the technique again now but it worries me. Complex and intimating lift for sure.

No not massive it wasn't 100 reps in one hit don't think wsm co.petitors can manage that I did it in 10 sets of 10 with about 3-6 breaths between sets
Its all in the technique was taught a technique by an ex uk strongman competitor we stopped at 220kg he threw another 80kg on then bust out 7 reps raw, have heard he had knocked out a 400kg single rep a few year back

to be honest Tony I'm blaming you for my gain in weight due to the fact you kept telling me to stop smoking so I did and gained 2 and a half stone

I must admit I do feel a lot better for not smoking and the smell is disgusting now I have stopped but its so hard to keep the weight down even though I am still active every day

The biggest problem is you swap one habit for another so end up munching instead of smoking

as an ex/social smoker i disagree
smoking does something that keeps weight off you unless you are a serious eater
not the appetite bit I have packed in and kept to the exact same diet and put on 2 stone in 6 months
but you get to see the grandkids grow up Mick

I read that this time last year Tony that cigs contain something what suppresses your appetite, I even contemplated starting smoking again to loose the weight but much rather not
