my driveway falls in 2no directions, away from the house and to the right away from the neighbors garden, i only know that because i lay ed it like that, you wouldn't know it was like that unless you put a bead on it. garage doors are only 10mm higher than the drains/pavement and this was the only way to get rid of the rain water.
PS, if Dave laid your drive it would be in tarmac and doe correctly. ???

The trouble with getting surveyors or "builders" to prepare so-called expert reports for court purposes is that they are rarely experts in pavement construction, which is why I come up against nonsense 'faults' such as "joint width between stone flags varies from 8mm to 18mm" and "there is a 6mm lip between the paving and the garage floor".

Just to let you know that the judge ruled in our favour. Problem is he asked the guy if he could pay us back (including court costs) in 14 days and the guy said he couldn't. Got to wait now for him to complete a form to the court of his income/outgoings. So just waiting now, judge did say to the guy that he wasn't taking years to pay us back. I can see we'll end up back at court trying to get the money! I just want a decent level patio not much to ask.
