you are right as usual mick
100mm pipe is 110mm in plastic and 150mm in hepsleeve or similar
I have never known a bco allow a saddle on a run down here
it would have to be a chamber even one of those little 225mm ones
they want every run fully roddable
which makes sense
I have come across DIY saddles
crisp packets,newspaper ,traffic cones you name it
with a jollop of muck to seal them

We can usually get away with a saddle onto a large diameter sewer as long as it's fully roddable from nearby, and it is inspected prior to backfill.

As you say, bodged saddles are the cause of almost as many sewer blockages as bloody "disposable" nappies. :angry:

On a new foul sewer in this area AWA will only allow saddles, they inspect connections, MSH :)
