i,ve been using alot of VDW850 and its taking a good 8-10 hours to set off i know its a slightly different product but similar component materials, but the joints i'm filling are 50mm-70mm wide around manhole lids 14 tubs so far still need another 20 tubs big £££ MSH :)

Thanks for your reply - it's been around 15 hours now and it's still soft and sticky - I'm getting a little nervous that it is not going to set hard.

Rain forcast later too :(

I was expectng it to be hard after an hour or so, so I guess hearing that yours is taking 8 - 10 hours give me some hope.

Yes just called them - for information - they said at this time of year two days is typical for the 800 product. Thanks MSH

We jointed the market square in Hitchin with VDW a couple of weeks back and the setting time was noticeably slower than what we experienced on similar work in the late Spring. I wouldn't worry: it can't not go off, if you'll excuse the double negative.

There are fleshpots in Hitchin??? Damn!! Maybe that's why they put me in a hotel in Royston, the rotten sods!

Wot was a dodgy scot doing in Hitchin, Herts...? ... surely not at one of the best grammar schools in the country? - yeah he was - "for about 5 mins - he was delivering the groceries" - (The Goons 1957)
