or as my grandad also said, you can just fanny it right up. your choice your patio. when it falls apart and it will, then you may listen to what the lads have told you. I`m not a pro but, do you think the lads that are pro`s give free advice for there benefit. as before your choice your patio, you have to live with it.

When you name your post "idiot requires advice." What do you expect us to think :;): Personally i think you should leave out the slab altogether, fill it with kds,building sand, playpit sand, or any other fecking sand you have and then .......bury your head in it.

Thanks very much for your replies - shame though some of you had to act like divas about it right from my original post.
What was that about then? Is it some sort of deep seated unhappiness at knowing you’re only just slightly higher on the evolutionary scale to a labourer? Does going home covered in shit night in night out get to you by the end of the week?
Did that hit nerve? Good. There's no need to respond though - they are in fact rhetorical questions, written with the intention of demonstrating that two can play your game. Pride in your work is one thing, pride in yourselves is quite a nasty quality so I hope you bear that in mind in future.

I'm amazed at the patience the Brew Cabin Irregulars have shown with this self-confessed idiot. There are none so blind as those that will not see, and no matter how many times it was explained to him, he insisted that there must be a 'bodge' to fix the 'bodge' that he already had.

As far as I'm concerned - I came here asking for help, I explained I didn’t know a great deal about the subject, threw myself at your mercy and was open to your suggestions.
Some of you however, saw it as an opportunity to put the boot in just because you had a hard week. Do you treat all newcomers like that do you? Have a shit week so take it out on someone? Beat the wives on a Saturday night do you?
No, kind sir - you are the pillicks for treating someone with contempt right from the outset - that much is clear and evidenced in my original post. What does that say about your mentality here? (Note to self: Why I am even bothering to ask - this will just go way over your heads)

Well, you finally showed your true colours. They were slightly on view even in your first post, but it was clear there was more to see even then. Like many who look down their noses at those of us who work in the building trade, you cannot see and will never see that most of us do what we do because we choose too, not because we have too.
We may come home covered in shit, as you put it, but at least ours is on the outside.

Big Al, your so full of shit mate its untrue, alot of the lads in here own there own businesses, how is that classed as being "at the bottom of the evolutionary scale" as you put it??

All of us in the brew cabin give advice for free,in our own time,as the gaffer has said it's amazing the patience we have show,
if you wont listen and take in advice don't bother asking for it there a lot of people pit there glad off our time to help them,
there is a good chance your next post will get deleted and allow genuine people to get our time and advice MSH
