Never used light grey from Pavestone. They're all the same, though.

Hi all.

Going with the Global Sandstone, and now looking to get some Rompox Easy, ready for pointing. I've found it on www.Pavingsuperstore.co.uk, but have two questions.....

1) Is Rompox Basalt a nice dark colour in the flesh, as I wanted a nice contrast with the light grey slabs. In pictures, it seems that the Basalt doesn't look all that dark ?

2) Pavingsuperstore has Basalt at £37 a tub. Is that a good price or should I phone this Ray guy that I have seen mentioned on here ?

Thank guys

I used the basalt flavour on my Celtic Knot Patio and it looks brilliant!

Hi everyone.
Im about to hire a compacting plate.

Should I get a light or heavy one ?

Obviously, the cheaper the better, but as the garden is soft clay, with large trees near-by, I wondered if the larger compactor might be better... Would it compact better than the smaller and thefore less change of movement in the base ?

When it comes to plate compactors, the bigger the better, within reason!

I see you've used Rompox Patio. Have you ever used Lithofix? I'm new to this site but have used it and its just as good as the Romex products but much cheaper :)
