Think my trailer should be here this week a g84 I think. Had last one 12 years, still good now.
What are you wanting to cart to the tip, uses for the tipper.

Youll need to do your b and e test

No need to down plate the trailer as with b and e you work off actual weights

I've got a 10' 3.5t Brian James tipper its good one of the lowest beds (around 600mm) on the market and also has 4 pairs of tiedowns inside the bed my tb108 fits in it fine although not as much space left as you would expect once its on as everything is inside the bed unlike a plant trailer where the bucket sits outside the bed.
Not cheap though trailer with punched ally ramps is around £4800 including vat

Also got mesh on mine which is a pain at times having to drop it to get things also have to drop the sides when loading machine as can't slew round as its too tight although the bottom of the machine does clear the sideboards when they're up

ta for feedback. Think I may go for this http://www.batesontrailers.com/product....purpose

and down rate it by 110kg

Handy sizable trailer. Not sure if it's worth getting the 12 x 6 even as 10 x 6 or 12 x 6.. they are both a bugger to reverse and deal with.. may as well go bigger dunno.

Unless your carting waste to a tip I don't see much point in a tipper. It's easier to shovel sand etc off the trailer bed than off the floor.

I do cart waste to the tip. 1-5 times per week.

My truck is crap also. Only takes 500kg legally. Will take 1.2 tons quite comfortably though. Just gotta go SLOW and leave loads of room for the car in front..

Be better off with a tipper its a pain getting stuff in and out of a trailer where the sides don't drop.

Being 700kg overweight is not good chances of being pulled are slim but if anything happens you will get the book thrown at you

Loving this damn trailer. Loaded it twice today with 2.5 tons of breeze blocks and broken concrete. Van pulled it no problem and van is loaded close to capacity with tools. Went twice to the crushers where I slip the guy a tenner per load. £20, 5 tons of concrete woohoo. Skip would have cost me £200 and been awkward to get on site and harder to load :-)
