A friend is in 'Business Acquisitions' or foreclosure if you like, he is just looking to buy a pad in Switzerland.

We have a 3t Red Rhino - tidy bit of kit for the smaller sites, produces good materials - when set up correctly. Use it all around NW.

Buy small objects from china, cheap to ship over and send out, small outlay, sell on fleabay, if it works out increase product lines, once a line is proven invest heavily for better returns

I like the thinking about china dan, but I'm not sure about selling on fleabay. It's a race to the bottom

ebay is a waste of time now
you need huge volumes to earn peanuts
plus the way its been weighted in the sellers favour makes it almost impossible to work
what about cleaning drives and patios daniel?
you could then get your toe in the door for refits
LLL :)

My sister paid off her mortgage selling crappy chinese dog collars and leads on ebay over a 5 yr period. Now owns puchi petwear.

Liked the odea of small concrete pump, £200 a job, 2-3 jobs per day if your lucky... Great return

Thought about making minimalistic, robust garden furniture like benches and stuff. Problem is you gotta work really fast and get your materials cheap to make any real money.

Back at it tommorow, putting a foot bridge and pier across a lake, should be interesting.

Have been offered a few jobs of a couple of mates, one is an investment banker and has offered to train me up, the other deals in antique watches and again has offered to take me on.....going to have to sleep on it a few times.

Thing is i reckon with these big pieces of construction equipment pumps/crushers/screeners/cranes is that the numbers look good on paper ie: £500.00 a day.....there is no chance of keeping it busy 100% of the time, id go as far as saying that keeping it busy 2 weeks out of four ..50% will be a big ask, doesnt look that good the more you think about it.

Then factor in the repayments on over 100k of plant (in my case crusher, 13t excavator, breaker etc) over say 4 years, plus maintenance and depreciation talking mega bucks......

We used to drop a lorry load of heavy long pallets of to a guy, he made all sorts out of them, Father's Day seats Mother's Day plant pots and so on.

He would still have it if we delivered it but no lorry now,

I had a yard full stuck it on eBay for free collection... Shifted it all no probs..

Some who collected wanted for fire wood, make shed, allotment, so on...

I don't even now need to advertise it I just stick it outside our firm and they just know to take it..

Our firm used to get rid of loads of it costing quite a lot of money, now they don't need to pay a penny

dan, two things you could buy and hire.
Narrow access tracked cherry picker, and 6" fast tow wood chipper.
Round here, both are like hens teeth.
Was considering the cherry picker option myself ???
