I always find threatening to stand outside the shop and tell every potential customer what has happened seems to do the trick!

Yer John lewes was the best price when we got our oven and extractor and a longer guarantee,
Big lesson learnt by me credit card is a must I think now for transactions over £100
They say on there web site they sell new and graded items, but we just went in as they are local never again,
Just very happy we got what we paid for in the end, I will be calling trading standards back on Monday as they wish to know what the outcome is....
Thanks all again for your help and advice

For future reference, John Lewis do the best deals on TVs. 5 year guarantee with them, best customer service, they price match and they actually pay tax
Another yes for John Lewis.
BTW they do free delivery as well.
