Today is the first day it's not raining here, so naturally I have a funeral to attend.

Today was a nice day here. Good job as I got 16ton of 10mm SMA, ordered 120 pen and they sent 50!
Didn't realise till it was down, thought f**k me that was a hard shift and checked the ticket

I take it "50" is a stronger mix than "120"?

We have a 200t muck shift to do....no chance in this weather.

Had a load of brick walls built on a job by subbies.....just looking at the job you can see they struggled with the bloody weather.

Fair bit of work lined up, all keeps getting put back......STOP RAINING!!!

I wouldn't be very happy if I had 16t of 50pen SMA to lay by hand!!!!

I had to go to a funeral yesterday, but they couldn't plant the poor sod as the ground in the boneyard had become unstable due to all the rain. It seems they took the coffin back to the undertakers to be stored on a shelf until such time as the ground dries out.

Bit of an ignominious end, really.

my dad told me a story about his auntie anne's funeral when they turned up at the graveyard and the pre dug hole next to her husband was flooded, dad ended up stripped to his pants on a cold november day in Gorton bailing out the grave before the cortège arrived.
