Matt - nice patching.
We've started hot jointing our patch repairs/joints, little bit of extra time/money but well worth it imo

Photos Dave? As in propane blow torch in the edges then add in the hot tar, do you still use tac coat etc?
Mark where those two chipped corner ones out the broken crate?
Has the 365 residue dulled it a bit or just different lighting from cloudy day etc
Looked great wet down before you pointed.

the chipped corners are in a few off the slabs, it looks like the layers have split away, customer said no problem to leave it and use them, so i did as asked...
the 365 has not made any difference to the colour at all, the first pix were washed down with lots off water to clear dust away, second pix were next day done dry different light ,took using 8mpx mobile phone in both pix,i'm not a photgrapher like some people... MSH

Cheers Hag, yeah it was nice to see the screed 1/4 full as we got to the end joint, perfect order! Had to get it covered before the weekend otherwise the rain we've just had would have sent the sub-base to pea soup! Gotta get the remaining 180m2 of concrete broken up, loaded away, stoned up and ready for tar Tuesday before the rains come on Wednesday. It's gonna be a busy couple of days but we'll get there.

it seems that rain and pointing completely change the character of patios
I quite like the big red looking flag but have had customers who would want it out
any reports on the limestone on general mark?
never seen one like that before

Although it was a long day and many would have said at 8.30 "No way!! - when the areas to the other side of the Aco channels weren't even stoned up and no manhole covers (six nr inc three big ones on the interceptor) hadn't even been adjusted to level/replaced as required - we had to deal with 38 tonne of binder and 30 tonne of 10mm AC10 Surface by the end of the day - or face having to come back later today as the rains cleared away.
Three blokes (one semi-skilled) and 3 1/2 days, 338m2 of reinf concrete broken up, loaded & carted, stoned up, covers raised, 27m Acos in and connected to interceptor, 40 tonne of binder and 28 tonne of surface - and the yellow lines reinstated at 6am the following day by a crew on the way back after a night shift - now thats some slick work in anyones books.
And no services damaged either!
