With regards to the shuttering it was only in for a couple of hours but fair comment that last bit of digging under garage was a right tedious bit of machine and dumper driving lucky it wasn't as deep as the rest which was 2.4 deep. but the rain has really slowed us down Still it was bone dry when we underpinned so swings and roundabouts.

blimey quite a bit of cost there then, good in some ways to stabilise the ground quickly but comes at a price
I am on with a large extension at the moment but this one is only 900mm deep at the lowest point and we poured 3 metres of concrete which was about a 200mm deep foundation and used trench blocks up to the height of the ground

joking aside nick, another man was buried alive and took 4 hours to retrieve his body. Wonder if he had sheet piles hit & miss strutted with weak timber ???

That happend in west Wales this week and my mate and his bro got blasted by a 11KV and was back in work Monday! His bro has major burns to face and chest as the arc jumped through him about 3m away. it was cat scanned but cable was incased in conc!
