if only :) 44 but feel 64
off to budapest for a week from today for some R and R
mick you must have been there mate
the first one was when the kitchen was redone ,we found an observer news paper form 31st december 1961
I quite like that type of wall paper for a one off wall now
so i'll give you that for a day
the second lot we found a bit of the sun from 1980 so your near enough there too
its a very interesting house we are working on
it is a one off built in 1929 but the current owners still have the original BOQ and spec
they have agreed that i can scan and reproduce the lot on here
which i will do in time
the paving is 83 years old and still solid, but i will let you read the spec
cheers LLL
ps the hair went yeasterday

Spent a busy couple of days forming concrete pads for steelwork

There was no way we were going to be hand-digging these five pads, so the 1.5 ton machine and pecker just had to come in, hell or high water!

Image

Access was somewhat limited due to scaffold, temporary roof and working platforms above

Image

Two layers of 393 and dowel bars, ready to be trimmed for the cones/bolts to be placed with the concrete

Image

Three of the five pads

Image

No completed pics as I wanted to bugger off asap after the concrete was done :-/

Mondays job all finished, simple driveway resurfacing together with a few new edgers to replace broken ones - existing driveway so no SUDS installation before you buggers take me head off!! Surfacing was so shot really the only option was to take it all up and 8 tonne of binder and 6.5t 6mm SMA hardstone, lovely job.
