To be honest, I've not really been affected by migrant worker competition, in Brum most seem to work for developers from similar immigrant backgrounds and work within their own communities. We tend to work for middle to high income professionals, and they go mainly on recommendation.
Same with prices, I've noticed a bit of reluctance here and there to agree a cost but as long as your clear and open with the punters they accept the fact that costs are going up and even the VAT hike hasn't done much damage.
We've not increased our Labour costs much but we still keep our heads above water
