Unmetered access to Democracy corrupted the country irrevocably.
China is lowly allowing a democratic process over time, this shuts down most of the criminals. Russia is 'right knackered' to coin a phrase .

I think Britain has a higher sense of moral and financial probity than certain other cultures. What outrages us is often nothing more than par for the course in some other nations, where any appointment to an international body is regarded as a chance for personal enrichment and self-aggrandizement.

The fact that the English bid was largely rejected because of the investigative and non-subservient British media tells you all you need to know about the morals and ethics of FIFA. It would be the equivalent of turkeys voting for Christmas.

Regardless of whether any of the British nations is ever afforded the opportunity to host a World Cup in the future, the time has come to build an alliance of concerned nations that will force root-and-branch reform of what is now the most corrupt international sporting body on the planet, and that includes telly-wrestling!

That is exactly the situation in Russia. Any kind of authority position is a golden goose. The higher up the position, the greater the value of the kickbacks.

Corruption in India is also widespread. Morals in any organisation/company/alliance/country/whatever, come from the very top. If the upper echelon is corrupt then it just spreads down until the whole of society is infected with it. The result is that everybody is looking to get one over on the next person and steal a little bit where they can.

The Russians struggle to keep there armed forces clothed and fed. I have read a couple of books on the country and it sounds like misery for 99.999% of the inhabitants
