Its not a side splitter Tony but being a northern lad i know the area he was raised in so i found it interesting, he doesn`t dish the dirt on any of the greats like Hancock, Cooper and Sellers, too much of a gentleman for that.

To be honest there were more belly laughs in the Michael Caine autobiography :)

i like biographies and autobiographies, not worried about laughs just like an interesting read
fred dibnahs biography "fred " is a good read
in reality he was a bit of a selfish so and so but an absolute legend of a steeple jack

Funny you should say that, i picked the Sykes book up in a second hand book shop in Portugal, it was between that and the Fred Dibnah one.
