Look at it this way. Your starting to socialise again, getting fitter by the day, starting to feel that little bit more positive.
While on the other hand the lady's new relationship will start to pan out after 6 months or so. By then you'll be fit as a fiddle, looking sharp and ready to get to know some ladies. Then when you have found a new lady you'll have that little bit of comfort knowing that it's going to bug the EX.
Carry on been the great dad that you are and don't dwell anymore on the "what was"

Also very sorry to hear your news - much better to split now (and try and keep it amicable) rather than grind on unhappily for years as my in-laws did "for the sake of the kids".
Your boy will be fine.
ps - what happens to GB Groundworks if you go awol wth the Arctic boys....??

sorry to hear that mate,
i had a few down months, trying to get her back when you are lonely etc but remain dignified and you'll come like me to realize its the best thing that every happened to you.
i'm really happy now, got a great new girl who worships me, she a much better fit than hayley and me and my son are stronger than ever, he's playing with his john deere at the moment while i write this. we are now at the stage when i pull onto his mums road he cries his eye out and hangs onto me and stands at her door kicking it and going up to her giving her his shoes and coat. we have a great time together, been swimming tonight and i'll drop him at nursery in the morning.
don't get me wrong it was hard at first seeing her with another man after all the lies and false hope but being a new year, having someone of my own and surving a near death experience i'm on cloud nine. got no money like haha but not stressed or worried about that things will sort themselves out. got such a better outlook on life.
what goes around comes around mate, i know the bitter sting of being cheated on but it will fade, i still see my ex 2-3 times a week which makes it harder but i dont think about her etc anymore she's made her bed she can lay in it. going to be a tough one when she decides to move in with the new boy and he is a boy he's 26 shes 30, he uses hair straightner and is a bean pole they share cloths haha she's a size 8.
she was well pissed when she saw my new girl haha.
people will tell you like i am now there are plenty of really nice girls out there who wont mess you around, just take some time enjoy yourself and you'll be fine.
my dad always says life is full of bad choices, i was going to propose to hayley had picked ring and spot to do it etc, asked her dad for permission. don't speak to him anymore asked him how long he knew about her and new bloke and he wouldn;t answer or look me in the eye.
mate i've met a 22 year old blonde nympho haha who adores me and is so sweet honest and loyal its so much better than what i had and what i put up with for the sake of staying together.

sorry to hear about your predicament dan,but you are young enough to come back from this.
from the ages of 17-24 I didn't know who to answer the phone, or door to (no mobiles or net in them days)
but as giles says it evens out eventually
Have to say Dan ,your best mate needs a lesson

Dan your best mate and i use the term loosely needs as LLL politely put it a lesson in life, there's things in life that mates dont do to each other and that's no1.
just keep your chin up :;):
