I wonder how far each of us walk on an average day?

Rolling up tarmac with a ped roller I bet I do a few miles some days!!! Footpaths being the worst culprits!

i was only wondering this the other day, talking to a mate at the gym. he works in office and ripping the p*ss out of me for being lazy haha i said its alright for you, average day at mo i'm up and down ladder about 50 times a day with slates or nails or tools etc finishing roof off. or hand digging in and out of trenches, man holes or just walking rd site. must burn a few 1000 calories a day compared to these guys who drive a desk all day.

I wore a pedometer for a few weeks last year, was doing around 14,000 - 15,000 steps a day (including lots of stairs) - perhaps about 30,000 ft, maybe 10km.

Plus 28 miles a day on me scooter and 200 a day on the train...

Well I can beat the lot of you the job i start next week is a whole 4 minute drive from my house and there's a belter of a coffee shop on the way. We should be on it for 7-8 weeks reckon i could set the alarm for 7.20 and be on site for 8 oh joy. It's a secure site so I might try leaving everything there and walking the staff have there own van so no one to collect.

i did a job last year and went back this year, tony called to fit these new hidden ic covers and its one of our neighbours so bottom of one of our fields. if i stayed at the yard(parents) it took me all of a minute to walk or 20 seconds on my quad haha. mum would shout to us from her kitchen when lunch was ready, really handy and easiest job every done, mega over kill on plant and machinery tree stump in way? tackle it with 3 ton or walk home grab 13 tonner and be back in 5 mins haha
