offers like the £9.50 holidays are in my experience a good giggle, plenty of places to choose from in UK and europe. Nice parks, good entertainment and change of scenery. I am collecting tokens for mine this year at the minute. Book for 4 people and for £40-£50 depending on what park and dates you choose, then your halfway sorted.
the only thing I would say...its not a holiday for snobs. I do know some people who turn their noses up at holiday parks, but it's their loss. Brilliant craic every time.

We are hoping to go camping this summer; but it is all dependant upon the bloody weather at the moment. One day it is good the next it is falling outta the sky at an alarming rate.
What is going on with the UK weather at the moment??

There you go Dave, put a bit of a smile on your face
100f in august , so they say. Ive looked into the met page with a bit more detail, if you look at the satalite pics (radar and actual) it gives you a good heads up for the next hour or so.
Dont bother with the forecasty thinngy (with the clouds and sun icons ) the way things are, it can predict nish at the moment.

Lots of people turn their noses up at Butlins but if you've got kids that want to go then it's well worth considering.oioisonnyboy wrote:the only thing I would say...its not a holiday for snobs. If the kids are occupied and happy then I can get on with enjoying myself.
Rather that than drag them to somewhere more upmarket where they get told offs by snobs for making some noise while they play.

Keeping the sprogs watered and happy is a number 1 priority, if you like it or not
Your on a restraunteurs hit list if you holiday in the Med and your a family, they make just as much from the kids as they do you.
Britain or Thailand next I think, Uk less travel and your less likely to be stiffed. Thailand, take a hit oin the airfair, and live on £20 a day. Looks like Thailand, recession permitting :;):

Went to one of those all-inclusive hotels with Portland(Thomson) in Tenerife Jan2008.
I was a bit wary of all-inclusive after reading some reports but where we stayed was fine for a week although it'd probably of got a bit samey for a second week.
The kids helped themselves to unlimited drinks, snacks and ice cream. Same for me as well but as it was always there I didn't feel the need to pig out. If I had to pay normal hotel prices it would've amounted to a small fortune.
Certainly got our moneys worth that week.

Thomson all-inclusive holidays are great, the cruise we went on a year or so back was superb, food and beer etc available 24/7 in unlimited quantities! Stella on tap, FREE! Awesome.
