One of my accountants customers were an old couple who owned a small shop in Newcastle, and were in the middle of an investigation, when one of the young wifey tax gits tried to look good to her gaffers by turning up at the old dudes home.
The man died with a heart attack the next day.

The investigation still carried on.

We are not the bad ones, it's the MP's type that do the most damage.

Tax investigation insurance costs me £190 a year but I have yet to have an inspection in 7 years so I'm due and it will be money well spent would recommend any vat registered business has it. Was very niave about cash when I first started but it gives me cold sweats now and I refuse to take discount for cash jobs. I still let people pay in cash but they pay the tax too. Couldn't face my wife divorcing me and having to sell the house to pay for something that was avoidable.
Asbury don't get me started on MP's expenses it makes me sick with anger thinking about it. And you can't punish them with your vote cos they're all at it and we're over a barrel.
