same as my mobile workshop, emptied in less than twenty minutes and me Â£32,000 worth of plant and tools adrift... only took me 25 years to get that lot together:(

should have known it wouldnt last.. just turned the corner coming up my road at the end of the day and the motor had a hissy fit... smoke and rattlin chocking and splutterin ...funny thing that the garage bloke rang up when i was out last night to see if all was well... you'ld think he was expectin summat...or maybe thats me being sinicle

today was the following morning... got car to garage.. blown injector. fixed it then drove 3 miles and pulled up because there seemed to be a problem with the fuel gauge...no wonder a pool of diesel was appearing under the motor. tried to open bonnet but couldnt, tried to pull a bit harder on the release and the cable went slack.. then noticed that the bonnet was slightly misaligned...no wonder the numskull mechanic had left the long arm rench extention on the edge of the side panel and closed the bonnet on top... eventually had to return home, unload and get it back to the garage so they can open the bonnet. If i find that the injector tube is leaking i' ll swing for that mechanic, as he's cost me a full day and half a tank of diesel to boot! Must have been really bad in a previous life...

finally got car back...sure enough the pill*ck hadnt tightened down the connections. tried to blame it on the fuel hose, but the cut was so clean he must have done it this morning, and the top of the injector was covered in diesel.. still, got new hoses throughout and they sorted the bonnet catch out... lets see how she fares now.. had to fork out for two tyres for the flatbed today as well... no beer tokens left for the weekend now:(

My heartfelt sympathies go out to LLL, and Mrs Lout - it's a real unsettling, foul thought that the low life have been going thru your home.
Two days ago, just had new chainsaw, my mate's hedgecutter, both Stihl, and my socket -set nicked from our barn next door to house - 3 useless dogs heard nothing - (snoring & dreaming of chasing rabbits) just a sweet crop thru the padlock & bob's your proverbial. I'm 100% sure it was our lovely local pikeys. Can't wait 'til I'm offered a cheap MS230 down my local.... I shall be on the phone to LLL, and rally the troops for a vengeance attack....

When all's said & done I am intellectualy a pacifist, horrified by what the Israelis are doing to the left bank - BUT - I'm practising with my father's pick-axe handle.

When all's said & done I am intellectualy a pacifist, horrified by what the Israelis are doing to the left bank

considering what they went through in the war ,they are not doing themselves a lot of favours now.

it seems nuts to me that 3 of the worlds main religons have there epicenters in about a 100 square mile area??

anyway on a lighter note ,are the fencers here waiting with bated breath for the alleged hurricane sunday night/monday morning?
the smell of Â£50 notes always cheers me up

lost my fence last week 3ft high with horizontal batterns 50 mm gaps inbetween secured to 2 mtr long oak beams. it was straight and true now looks like a dogs hind leg. beams lifted out of the ground:( . plus lost roof on chicken coup . it gets bloody windy up here.

I've had two computers die on me this last week. First the 5-month old laptop stopped talking to the cd/dvd drive, and vice-versa, and then the main office desktop cooked the hard drive.

With a bit of help from the Dell 24/7 helpline, which only cost me 220 quid when I bought the pc, we managed to determine that the HDD on the pc was definitely poorly, and, while we were at it, we managed to bugger-up the motherboard, the RAM and both of the cd-drives. I warned them I don't work with owt smaller than a lump hammer, but would they listen?

A technician is due tomorrow, with instructions to fit new m/board, HDD, RAM units, cd-drive, dvd-drive and probably the keyboard, too. Wouldn't it be cheaper just to send me a replacement pc?

Given the run of bad luck I've been having lately, it convinces me all the more that, at some time in my murky past, I must have shagged a nun.
