yeah we have to replace it for him Dave...considered giving him one of the knackered ones and sayin 'you wanna have this checked out mate.... it died on us!' 
But we're not that evil. Apparently the crankshafts and piston/cylinders are the expensive bits to replace but you can pick them up on e-bay for £50 quid so it might be worth diy-ing them.

dont get me started on stolen plant,i have lost 5 ts350/400s out of vans and my lock up in the last 10 years
plus an assortment of hilti drills ,makita breakers,de walt battery drills,chainsaws
in fact you name it they nick it
missus is well hacked off but every night all the expensive plant comes to bed with us,its the only way :laugh:
the kango comes in handy sometimes but thats another story lol

Why does stuff only break down when it's cold enough to freeze your knuckles off, and when it's knee deep in mud?
Most frustrating breakdown recently was a fan belt on our Caterpiller FL. Simple, you'd have thought... except it's a radiator out job. Stupid design. Anyway, got the belt, fitted it, rad back in - an hour lost so far. 10 minutes later the bloody thing snapped again. Radiator back out... bearing on the tensioning roller had seized. Bugger.

the cost of insuring power tools is prohibitive dave,last quote i had worked out 30% of the tools value every year,total piss take
years ago if it was in your house you were covered but not any more mate
if i could just catch those thieving sods for 5 minutes they would wish they were back in prison............

Breadown again yesterday, well two of them!
Both occured on the same item of plant, a Krupp Breaker for a hired 145
Really the breaker shouldn't have been hired out like it - one of the couplings had been squashed slightly and wouldn't connect - and after that was replaced one of the hydraulic pipes burst!
Not a good day!
Got the job done, albeit with a 2hr delay.....

dont you just hate it when bm is closed and you still have a metre of concrete to lay then the wheel comes off your wheelbarrow. you have to revert to paddies pump, 2 hours later when cleaning up the head falls off the broom. :p yes it has happened to me. :laugh:

I've come to learn that the wheel on your wheelbarrow is a very important thing, one to be looked after whatever the cost!
The tyre on our single barrow cost more than the frigging barrow! The ones that come on these WWC barrows are crap!

barrows in general now sem to be rubbish, i prefer the squarer ones cos you can get more in and they are easier to manouvere,but i think in gereral the steell has got thinner and thinner
dont get me started on builders buckets 
not worth a carrot

ok lll
buckets what have u found to be the best I am on some galv ones at the mo that seem to be holding up well after a weak but b4 that I have smashed most other 1s
I got 2 indestructible buckets off tinterweb and both went after 1 mixer full of concrete
got me money back cos they had a 3 year warranty
I think that the plastic use is to brittle and needs to more rubberized
What do u guys think
