I now have three bloody paving jobs all finished bar the pointing, all with nothing but the deposit paid so far. Might have to get on the blower tonight with my cap in hand ;)

Time for a polymeric, Rich - at least you can use the waterproof ones in wet weather and get the clients to cough up the beer vouchers they owe you!

ive only been rained off twice in the past 3 years, mainly because my boss "doesnt beleive in it". Its never nice working in the rain but just has to be done sometimes. Seems to rain more than anything up here in "sunny" Scotland :p

i think i have been properly rained off once in the last 2 years
whne the lads start crying i just tell 'em, "no problem ,go home,i'll just deduct the difference"
now thats a motivator :)
we normally just have 5-10 minutes in the pick up while the worst goes by

id keep the 5k for the leen times ( remember those ). i tried the lot even sold ice cream in winter, market trading you name it Ive lost money at it. you've just got to persevere, god loves a trier. next year that 5 could be 10 :;):

aye yer probably right about keeping the money, ill try a bit of networking and maybe a bit more localised advertsing, see if that brings in any extras, i was invited to join the masons a few year back, maybe a should look into that again :cool:
