I went on a tour of Boddingtons Strangeways brewery ( now sadly gone) in the 80s, a coachfull of us were promised free grub and as much ale as you could wave a stick at when the tour finished.

At the end of each section of the tour the guide would say has anyone got any questions, and the same complete tosser would raise his hand and start his cross examination.

The end result was 30 blokes with 8 minutes to consume as much free ale and chicken legs as they could before the coach driver did one and left us stranded.

i did the tour at the "jack daniels " distillery in lynchburg TN a couple of years ago and apart from the hoover dam it was the best tour i have ever done
anyway the guide was full of the craic telling us all the old stories and it got to the bit where you can ask questions
so me being me i asked "how about a sample?"
the guide then informed me that moore county where it is made is a "dry county" which means it is illegal to buy, sell or drink alcohol
:( :( :(
however you may buy 1 bottle of gentleman jack as a commemorative item :)
