Probably for the best, once you have seen one amateurs efforts you have seen them all.

I have only heard stories about Chewton glen, and that cost me enough just to listen. :D

Coinciding a purchase with this tread I have just brought a recessed manhole cover 600 x 450 for £32.31 (inc vat), of the type Nigel Walker mentions earlier - the ones with holes in the corners for standard lifting keys.

Bloody hell!!!!

I think i paid just under £55 inc vat for mine from jewsons. Shame they cant have the same prices across the board really

Just been quoted £33 inc vat for either a 450sq or a 600x450 from Warrington Landscaping.

if u are going to jewsons ring up before you go and ask for a price remember it when in the branch the miserable twat behind the desk will belt his enter key and tell you a price a LOT more than the phone price
question it and they will drop to the phone price
they call it a cash order price or some such shit

i drive an extra 10 mile rather than use a certain branch of jeuwsons,no one ever seems to be able to give you a straight answer about pricing and generally speaking they are daylight robbers(second only to TP)
