TBF I'm very careful when digging. I expose all sorts of services all the time without going through them.
U try telling a fencer not to smash a spade in though lol.

but it records on paper the actions you've taken to locate and mark services, might need it one day in a court case or hse proceeding, its more about arse covering.

Yes, I had done about 50 or so kerbs and this was the last few
:p I had done the others with a toothed 10'' bucket, I had changed the bucket the day before to do some other jobs then kept it on to do the last few kerbs it was a toothless 18''

I cat cat and cat again for anything now even road pins
I remember haggistani recounting a story of a pin hitting a cable and being flung out the ground, so cat before anything nowadays and mark just to be safe
