Had 2 eastern european guys pull over in an old Golf yesteday, took an old kids bike off the customers Drive(It had been thrown out), and shoved it in the back on top of a load more scrap, including an old Fridge or something, we just watched in amazement!! Perhaps they weighed the car in as well.:p

had 2 on foot the other week mick
plus people in all sorts of vans and estates not normally associated with scrap
thing is with cookers ,bikes etc @£120 per tonne 2 blokes can earn £100 a day each at a canter
when it was £25 a tonne there were cars littering the streets

no wonder there's so much metal theft going on, it's totally unregulated, any joker can weigh in, and i would imagine most of the scrap is going to China/India to fund their economies, so that we can buy back cheap made/expensive to us crap, great, might jump on board meself:rock:

I stop the scrap vans and give them any off site. Like hag says it keeps them sweet and ive had the same wacker plate for ages now

Local scroat nicked my scrap metal from my yard, bless,
wife saw the little toe rag and reported him,
He got nicked and plod now sending his van for scrap(no ins,mot,tax etc) Just Deserts or what,Ilaughed my socks off :laugh: DNF
