bollocks to that expanding stuff takes to long to drill all the holes at 4" centres
just offering another angle instead of going in there crash banging and walloping all guns blazing.

what happens when the chisel bursts through the concrete? wont there be a "dry blow" then?

I thought a dry blow was along similar lines as when dry humping your best mates wife :p

Well there generally some resistance be it from sub base in slabs or the side friction from the hole, but seen ppl who have never run hammers spin them up like a kango banging away then put it onto the concrete sure way to kill your hammer, but if it's rented it'll be trashed anyway lol

Im not expecting a quality bit of kit to be honest, the last time I hired a 3 tonner off this firm the alternator was fecked, a freshly charged battery had to go on it every few hours, wasnt handy as it happened at 2 oclock on a saturday and the hire firm shuts at 1. Aslong as it gets the building down and doesnt take an absolute age I will be happy, any problems with the digger or pecker and there will be a serious reduction on the hire rate, after all, if the diggers cussed, i cant use the pecker and vice versa!
