yes i am struggling to come to terms with this thread as well ???
every fence i do bar none is 600mm in the ground,its all about getting into subgrade
i prefer concrete posts but that is my personal preference,I did one 15 years ago in stopsley round a car park and not 1 post has moved,couple of panels have blown a little bit but easily replaced
feather edge fencing or close boarded as i call it looks beter but when the arris rails rot its a pain in the rear
TBH i really like the fencing dan suggested to me last year
eurocell i believe green galvanised 5mm mesh which now has pyracanthas growing through it,will get a picture when i get a minute
